Standguide are delighted to announce a contract win to deliver NHS Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Expansion across Cheshire and the Wirral, awarded by NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board (ICB). This adds to our portfolio of IPS delivery throughout the country.
IPS is a supported employment programme helping service users experiencing mental health difficulties find meaningful paid employment that supports recovery.
Standguide has delivered IPS since 2018, achieving one of the highest fidelity scores in the UK (119 out of 125) achieving the ‘Exemplary Fidelity’ quality kitemark by IPS Grow.
Standguide’s service has also been praised in Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s ‘Big Book of Best Practice’ for service integration and achievement of all KPIs. They said: “Meaningful pathways have been created to support clinical staff in managing individuals in their recovery… Standguide has exceeded all contractual targets since the Trust commissioned the service.”
Standguide’s Employment Specialists work alongside clinical partners including GP surgeries, social prescribing teams, NHS clinical resource centres and crises cafés, providing each service user with personalised intensive support that aligns to and complements treatment plans. They deliver a place, train and sustain model with an emphasis on rapid job search supported by detailed vocational profiling.
Through bespoke local employer engagement each Employment Specialist supports the service user’s job preferences, sourcing the right job for them. Tailored support is also provided for the employer, such as Mental Health Awareness training, helping service users to build confidence, maintain their health at work and retain employment.
