For the first time ever, the IEP hosted a trilogy of engaging and inspiring events in London on 28 November: the Annual General Meeting (AGM), Fellows Lecture with Dragons’ Den star Levi Roots, and the IEP Fellows Collective Christmas Celebration, bringing together IEP Fellows, Members and stakeholders from across the sector. The events – made possible through the generous support of our sponsors Palladium (AGM), Fedcap and Get Set UK (Fellows Lecture) – was an inspiring occasion that highlighted our achievements and ambitious plans to achieve our vision where ‘employability professionals everywhere are the best they can be’.
During the AGM, attendees were presented with a comprehensive review of IEP’s accomplishments over the past year and a preview of our plans and goals for 2024 and beyond. Key initiatives outlined in the 2024 Progress Report include:
Expanding Learning Opportunities
IEP plans to broaden its portfolio of accredited qualifications and masterclasses, introducing new Member Learning Pathways and innovative programs such as the IEP Awards in Coaching for Progress, and Coaching for Growth. Additionally, a bespoke Youth Employment Program and the expansion of the IEP Endorsed By initiative with quality training providers are set to enhance professional development opportunities for members.
Strengthening Global Partnerships
We are committed to building stronger relationships in key parts of the world, including Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Sweden, Australia, Canada, and the Gulf, with exploratory efforts underway in South Korea.
Enhancing Member Experiences
The IEP continues to invest in its Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Learning Management System (LMS) platforms to provide members with more accessible, personalised tools for tracking professional development, monitoring CPD (Continuing Professional Development), and improving reporting.
Promoting Research and Evidence-Based Practices
A major focus will be on expanding the CfEED employability research repository, a central resource hub designed to support employability professionals with relevant evidence-based materials and insights.
Scaling Quality and Excellence
IEP is scaling its Quality Improvement Framework (QIF) and learning resources globally, while establishing Centres of Excellence in Canada and the Gulf to set new benchmarks in employability practices.
‘Make the Most of Us’: Preparing IEP Members for the Future
“With the changing landscape ahead, we are here to ensure you have the tools and support you need to stay ready and equipped for whatever lies ahead,” IEP Group CEO Scott Parkin FIEP said. “Whether it’s through professional knowledge, sector-specific evidence-based learning resources, guidance on quality and excellence or opportunities to access a robust network of peers, colleagues and expert enablers, we are committed to helping our members everywhere in their career progression and to enable them to support more people into good work.
“The IEP exists to support you. Use us, make the most of us, and know that we are continually evolving to meet emerging challenges. Together, we can ensure that employability professionals are ready to embrace change and lead the way in delivering tailored, impactful, and the personalised support required to Get Britain Working.
“Thank you again for being part of the AGM and for your ongoing engagement and support of the IEP.”
