The Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP) is thrilled to announce the formation of its new IEP Board in Australia. This strategic step signifies our commitment to expanding support and expertise within the Australian employability sector, allowing us to provide more tailored resources, support, and innovation for professionals in the field.
Board Members and Their Expertise
The newly established IEP Australia Board brings together a group of distinguished leaders in the sector, each bringing unique expertise and insights. The confirmed board members include:
- James Muller FIEP – General Manager of Compliance, Assurance & Development at APM
- Zac Ashkanasy FIEP – Principal at Nous Group
- Andrew Hills FIEP – Group Manager at Westgate Community Initiatives Group Ltd. (WCIG)
- Rob Marshall FIEP – CEO of MTC Australia
- Con Kittos FIEP – Executive Chairman of Asuria Australia
- Jo Ingold FIEP – Professor at Peter Faber Business School, Australian Catholic University (ACU)
- Ross McLatchie FIEP – Director of Employment at Yooralla
- Pat Russell FIEP – Board Chair of IEP
- Scott Parkin FIEP – Group CEO of IEP
This impressive group of professionals supported by Kevin Browne FIEP, Chair of IEP’s International Committee, is set to bring their vast experience and passion to the IEP’s mission of enhancing employability services and supporting those most in need across Australia.
The board will convene for its first meeting on 25th November 2024. Following this, board meetings are scheduled quarterly, with additional special sessions as required to address emerging needs and opportunities.
The IEP Australia Board’s primary focus is to guide and oversee the Institute’s activities and initiatives in Australia. Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Direction: Setting priorities and shaping the strategic framework for IEP’s activities in Australia
- Innovation and Collaboration: Fostering partnerships, exploring new approaches, and sharing best practice within the sector
- Accountability and Governance: Ensuring high standards of governance and accountability, aligning with IEP’s mission and values
In addition to quarterly meetings, an Annual Strategy Day will offer a focused session for members to review progress and develop future initiatives. The board will also participate in IEP’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which provides a critical forum for decision-making and member engagement.
This new board represents an exciting chapter for IEP and the employability sector in Australia. We are confident that with the expertise and dedication of our board members, we can drive meaningful change, elevate standards, and enhance support for employability professionals and the communities they serve.
