The IEP are excited to share that Liverpool City Council have joined us as a Corporate Affiliate Partner.

Liverpool Council said: “Within the City Development directorate of Liverpool City Council, the Employment & Skills service is committed to supporting Liverpool’s residents to develop their skills and fulfil their employment ambitions. We are a key contributor to the Council’s vision for a trusted, aspirational, and learning council, enabling a thriving and sustainable city for everyone.

“We support anyone who is workless or facing redundancy to identify their options, make informed choices and fulfil their aspirations. We particularly aim to engage with citizens who are facing disadvantages such as age, people with health and/or disability issues, Black and Ethnic Minority communities, care-experienced young people, offenders/ex-offenders, LGBT+ communities, homeless people, people facing food and/or fuel poverty, and people facing multiple and/or complex barriers to employment.

“Comprising of employability tutors from the Adult Learning Service, officers from NEET and SEND young people’s services and Liverpool in Work guidance and business specialists, we have a broad range of support for our customers wherever they are on their path to employment.

“Although we have been at the forefront of employability services in Liverpool for almost 25 years, we are continuously looking to improve our offer to customers by developing our skills, knowledge, and practices to meet the evolving demands of an ever-changing labour market. We have been fostering a greater learning culture in our work over recent years and are now ready to invest further to take this to the next level with structured continuous professional development plans for all our team members.

“It is for this reason that we are celebrating becoming a Corporate Affiliate Partner of the Institute of Employability Professionals. We are eagerly looking forward to participating in learning through the excellent courses, resources, and networking opportunities available to IEP members and in return sharing our expertise with other members. We know that by joining the professional institute for our sector, we are giving a clear message to customers, colleagues, and commissioners that we take quality and public service seriously and aim to be the best we can be.”
