We are thrilled to announce that throughout 2024 Fedcap Canada and the Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP) will be working together in Canada so we can deliver our mission to elevate employability professionals across the globe. This collaboration underscores our commitment to championing excellence in employability, bringing our knowledge, experience and innovative programmes to Canada.

As part of this collaboration, IEP will be introducing a dedicated Partnership Manager for IEP Canada, who will play a pivotal role in cultivating and strengthening our partnership with Fedcap Canada and their partners initially across Ontario. This appointment aims to support communication, foster collaboration, and ensure the successful implementation of our shared vision for advancing employability practice in Canada.

As part of our commitment to continuous learning and professional development, we will be offering our suite of accredited learning programmes, including ‘Employability Essentials’, with the aim of upskilling employability practitioners across Canada, equipping them with the practical knowledge and tools needed to excel in their roles and make a lasting impact on the lives of jobseekers.

In addition to our accredited learning programmes, we will be developing new micro-credentials alongside already well established partners of Fedcap Canada. These bite-sized, specialised courses will provide employability professionals with the flexibility to tailor their learning experience, acquiring targeted skills that are immediately applicable to their roles.

At IEP, we firmly believe in the power of collaboration and the transformative impact it can have on the employability sector. Building on our already strong relationship with Fedcap in the UK, this partnership solidifies our commitment to bringing the IEP philosophy to Canada. Together with Fedcap Canada, we aspire to make employability professionals the best they can be, contributing to the overall growth and success of the sector.

“Fedcap Canada is thrilled to support the IEP’s expansion into Canada. Through this collaboration, we will empower employment professionals across the region by supporting jobseekers with high quality service. This partnership demonstrates our commitment to promoting positive change in the employability industry. Collaborating with the IEP will amplify impact, resulting in a more robust workforce and promoting economic well-being for everyone.” Said Grant Collins, President, Fedcap Canada.

Scott Parkin FIEP, Group CEO, IEP said “We are excited to extend our relationship with Fedcap into Canada. This collaboration represents a shared vision for excellence in employability practice. Through our extensive learning and partner opportunities, we aim to elevate the skills and capabilities of employability professionals, making a lasting impact on the communities they serve.”

Building upon the success of our flagship events, including the inaugural IEP Summit hosted in Australia in 2023 following four successful years in the UK, as well as the acclaimed IEP Basecamp and various regional networking events, our programme of activity with Fedcap Canada will see IEP develop a range of initiatives and events which will serve as platforms for employability professionals to connect, share insights, and engage in meaningful discussions. Through these events, we aim to create a vibrant community that collaboratively works towards advancing employability standards and practice in Canada. We will also seek to further advance initiatives such as the development of a Quality Improvement Framework for the sector and engagement with the Centre for Employability Excellence, both of which are key milestones that have become part of our global offering in the UK, Australia and Sweden.
