We are delighted to announce that Luke Whinney FIEP, Senior Management Employment at AMES Australia, has become a Fellow of the IEP.

Speaking on his Fellowship, Luke said:

“I feel privileged to be accepted as a Fellow of the IEP and to join a diverse range of other Fellows who have a deep history and extensive expertise in an industry have been passionate about for over 15-plus years. I hope that with my range of experience in different roles within the Employability sector I can make a small difference to not only the clients we all support, but the development of others within the industry.

“I am committed to developing the Employability sector and in particular our frontline staff who do an amazing job, day in day out, supporting and guiding vulnerable people to achieve wonderful outcomes. I feel the IEP brings the professional standards required to be successful in this sector, so I can share these standards with our next wave of future Employability champions and leaders.

“Currently working with an organisation that specialises in the delivery of Settlement, Education and Employment Services for Refugees, Migrants and First Nations, I get to see first-hand the unique skills and qualities these cohorts can bring to the Australian workforce. Not only are some of these individuals facing different barriers and challenges to sustainable employment, but I also get to see, and am inspired by, the different attributes these individuals bring to the country. It’s a privilege to be able to assist them to gain a start in Australia, as well as develop other Employability staff who take immense pride in assisting those who are vulnerable and disadvantaged. The IEP and Fellowship further opens a new range of additional expertise and professionalism to which I can support both our clients and staff.”

IEP Fellows are a community of passionate and influential professionals from within the Employability sector. They work to share best practice through the sector, and also to support the vision and mission of the IEP.

Fellows benefit from special services including invitations to participate in the IEP Summit, the Fellows Collective, and our regular Fellows Networking Dinners, which take place throughout the year.

Join our active Fellows community and support others, drive the continued professionalisation of the sector and be an ambassador for the IEP.
