This year at Basecamp, we explored so much – from navigating challenging conversations, transforming conflict into collaboration, and better supporting job seekers facing stigma and complex needs. We also discussed the pivotal role of technology, including AI, in enhancing employability outcomes while keeping the human touch at the forefront of our work. In our 4th and final session we heard from a range of amazing employers about how they are not just developers of goods and services but developers of people too and how to shift the focus from merely filling job vacancies to building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with
industry leaders.

We hope that those of you who joined us on the day gained practical guidance and knowledge to take back and share with your teams.

After a full day of learning we wrapped up the day at our Networking Reception sponsored by the IEP Learning Academy, where great conversations were had and new connections were made. Thank you to all of delegates and the partners who supported us this year, we ย look forward to seeing many of you again at next year’s #IEPBasecamp, or even sooner at the very first IEP Networking Event in Liverpool this week. Check out our events program at myiep.uk/events to book your spot and find out about all the other exciting events and learning opportunities we’ve got coming up!

Thanks to everyone for all your help and support and for making #IEPBasecamp2024 another fantastic success for this wonderful sector in which we work!

Iโ€™m slightly lost for words to be honest. And thatโ€™s rare! I think Iโ€™m just overwhelmed by the passion, the enthusiasm, the dedication and the love of the frontline teams in our industry.

And there is only one place to that truly values and celebrates this and thatโ€™s the annual
The Institute of Employability Professionals BASECAMP! It makes me super proud to work for the company that sponsors this event Ingeus.

This event not only highlights and rewards those that have invested time and energy to professionalise themselves through the excellent courses from the IEP Learning Academy, it is also the only platform that I know of that provides this crucial forum to frontline practitioners to meet each other, exchange ideas, share experiences and come together to collaborate.

It was such an honour to be invited to be on the โ€˜expertโ€™ panel at the #IEPBasecamp2024 yesterday, speaking to an audience of employability practitioners about self-employment being such a viable route into sustainable employment.

What an hugely enjoyable, engaging and thought-provoking day it was too!

As a learning practitioner and coach, I extend my heartfelt thanks for organising such an outstanding event and making everyone feel so welcome and cared for. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Always inspired by Group Ceo
Scott Parkin FIEP FRSA with his ‘lead from the front and the rear’ , brilliant leadership style , as he consistently enables his team to be highly motivated to deliver excellence. Always bringing out the best in his highly talented team. Amy Lucas MIEP , in particular- always warm and welcoming, shines in her craft of leading the marketing and event organising, deserving immense credit.
