The IEP is delighted to have Barefoot eLearning join us as a Corporate Affiliate Partner!

Barefoot eLearning is a digital transformation company on a mission to deliver upskilling and reskilling to help close the skills gap and accelerate employability.

As a startup company, Barefoot eLearning has been delivering vocational skills training since inception. Their focus is on upskilling people over the age of 16, who lack the necessary knowledge to develop vocational skills and become job ready. They reach these learners by working with organisations such as councils, charities and associations concerned with employability such as the IEP.

In 2023 Barefoot eLearning trained more than 1000 learners in Digital and Employment Skills UK-wide, by delivering employability curated learning pathways.

Currently much of the industry’s skills training is delivered through pre-designed training courses which are prescribed rather than curated and do not directly address individual skills gaps but provide lengthy generic training that can be ineffective.

Barefoot eLearning’s solution, which simplifies the process and reduces complexity, provides a skills assessment at the outset, where the required learner skills gap is identified and the training, which consists of video-based microlearning, is curated so that learners only learn what they need. This whole process is delivered through technology and can be scaled at will.

Robin Adda FIEP, Founder and CEO of Barefoot eLearning, said:

“We believe that we are strongly aligned with the mission and objectives of the IEP. Having spent many of my past career years in employability training to close skills gaps, at Barefoot eLearning we have focused from the start on providing relevant high quality vocational training to help close today’s skills gap and get people into employment.

“The reported digital skills gap in 2023 includes around 30% of the working population and there is much work to be done to drive down these statistics. We believe that in starting by assessing the skills of the learners, this can help to identify their training needs and get them job-ready much faster. Engagement is key, which is why we concentrate on bite-size microlearning and utilise gamification and audio learning as further ways of reinforcing engagement.

“We hope to partner with IEP members to address this challenge of digital training and placing more people into jobs and look forward to a productive and successful partnership with the IEP.”
