By Julie Graham FIEP, CEO, Ingeus UK
Every day is different working in employability – new people to help, new challenges to overcome, new solutions to be found. Frontline practitioners and their managers spend their working days constantly finding different approaches to connect with and support people. IEP Basecamp gives us the opportunity to take a breath and together, work out how to do different brilliantly!
This event brings together committed and talented professionals to share ideas, bolster knowledge, and form valuable connections. Building on the outstanding success of the inaugural IEP Basecamp in 2023, I am delighted that Ingeus is once again saying thank you to the sector by sponsoring all delegates’ attendance.
We can expect a day packed with topical debate, information sharing and peer recognition. From seminars on supporting jobseekers with the most complex needs, connecting with employers, and embracing technology, to expert Q&A sessions, and celebrations of IEP learning achievements, it’s a day not to be missed. I am confident that it will aid the continual professional development, job satisfaction, and growth mindset of everyone who attends.
As the past year dealt us significant changes in the labour market, programme commissioning and political leadership, employability remains a hugely important topic across the UK. In this era of perpetual change what remains constant is the need for empathic, effective support to get people into, and thriving, at work – and that’s exactly where IEP-trained practitioners come into their own.
Sharing what works and how to achieve it in our day-to-day roles can only aid our country’s learners and jobseekers. I look forward to seeing familiar and new faces alike, for a fun, reflective day with like-minded colleagues.
