Program Overview
The Employability Apprenticeship Standard is Levy-funded in England. It equips individuals working within the Employability Sector with the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to deliver social value by contributing to society and the economy through effective provision of employability services.
The learning progresses a learner from the IEP Accredited Certificate in Employability Practice into specialist practice and service design and development, including data analysis and project management.
Learners will be awarded IEP Membership and be given access to IEP Podcasts, LiveLearnLunch Recordings with subject-matter experts and IEP Knowledge Bank Resources.
Apprentices are successfully prepared to meet the requirements for registration as an Employability Practitioner with the Institute of Employability Professionals.
Structure and Timings
This program is a Level 4 Apprenticeship. Full time apprentices will typically spend 24 months on-program (before the gateway) working towards the occupational standard, with a minimum of 20% off-the-job training. All apprentices will spend a minimum of 12 months on-program.
Learning Delivery and Assessment Method
There are three assessment methods for apprentices to undertake including a presentation underpinned by a portfolio of evidence and research, observation of interventions with service users, and a knowledge test. Performance in the EPA will determine the overall apprenticeship grades of: Pass, Fail, Distinction.
