Annette Holmblad MIEP

Congratulations to the IEP’s Annette Jönnervik Holmblad for ASEE appointment!

We are so proud to announce that our IEP Sweden Partnership Manager, Annette Jönnervik Holmblad has been appointed Vice President of the Association for Supported Employment Europe (formerly European Association for Supported Employment, or EUSE).

ASEE changed its name in the spring of 2024 after a vote with all member associations, this news was presented during the latest conference in Spain – ‘We Have the Talent’.

Annette, what is ASEE about and what are ASEE’s goals/ambitions?

“ASEE believes in a common labour market for all, where no one is excluded and where there is suitable work that provides a dignified life for all. ASEE provides a drive, know-how and professional commitment to support an inclusive labour market across Europe,” said Annette.

Why is ASEE important and what are some of its key projects?

“ASEE is recognised as the leading organisation in promoting supported employment across Europe. ASEE ensures that its members and stakeholders have easy access to expertise, information and good practice. For example, through the international conferences. ASEE works on partner engagement, membership and communication (e.g. how to set up a national association to influence European and national policies), with a focus on the development of sectors/content, etc.

“ASEE provides information and collaboration, as well as effective communication between members, promotes and develops Supported Employment. ASEE also works with the collection and dissemination of information about the methods, and promotes knowledge and experience exchange in the field of Supported Employment in order to build the capacity of member organisations.”

What impact do you hope to have in your role as Vice President at ASEE?

“I am passionate about method development and quality work, so I believe that I will be a great asset in the work with the revision of the Diversity Toolkit and in the Supported employment Quality Framework (SEQF). I have extensive experience of working with supported employment. (IPS and SEd).

“Then, of course, conduct advocacy work to improve the use of the models that will ultimately benefit the group that I basically want to do this work for, the job seekers who are a little further from the labour market and who have not been able to take part in a functioning support to achieve self-sufficiency and a rich life!

“ASEE is a fantastic group to work with. A group that possesses so much experience and the willingness to share good practices!

“And then we have so much fun too. It’s important that you enjoy your work!”
