The IEP are excited to introduce the Women in Skills and Employability (WISE) network – a dynamic support network for women working across the employability and skills sector.

A Network for All Women in Employability

WISE is for all women at every stage of their career, whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience behind you. Our mission is to create a supportive community where women can share their experiences, offer mentorship, and learn from each other.

The WISE initiative originated from a conversation between Scott Parkin FIEP, IEP Group CEO, and Libby Duo FIEP, Strategic Manager, Conwy Employment Service, Conwy County Borough Council. It was held during a lively and inspiring Fellows Dinner on International Women’s Day this year, where our master of ceremonies, Patrick Hughes FIEP, gave welcome recognition of the significant contribution women make in the employability and skills sector. Libby was inspired to work with the IEP to create a dedicated network for all women working in the sector to come together to support one another and to celebrate and foster the significant contributions women make to the employability and skills sectors. Women across the public, private, and third sectors are warmly invited to join this welcoming space. Together, we will:

WISE is more than just a network – it’s a movement for positive change. Here are some ways you can participate:

What We’re Looking For

We want all women in the sector to feel they have a place here, regardless of where they are in their careers. If you’re passionate about driving positive change in employability and skills, WISE is the community for you.

Let’s come together to offer practical advice, mentoring, and resources. Join the conversation by sharing your own experiences and help us create a space for mutual support and collaboration.

Ready to Join?

We’re reaching out to all women who want to help shape the future of employability and skills. Whether you’re interested in mentoring, offering resources, or just want to be part of a positive and collaborative community, WISE is here for you. We can’t wait to see what we will achieve together!
