Following the successful launch of the IEP Journal #11, we are pleased to announce our next Guest Editor for Issue 12 will be Michaela Zankl MIEP.

Michaela Zankl MIEP

Michaela, who is Regional Manager at Folkuniversitetet and was IEP Sweden Member of the Month in February 2024, said this edition will connect to the October seminar theme ‘labour market services for employers’.

“As a representative of an organisation based on research and proven experience, the ambition is to have our base in research from the northern part of Europe,” she said.

“The voices of participants are important, and we will try to find a good way of sharing these as well as perspectives from providers.”

Michaela represents the foundation Folkuniversitetet, a part of the non-profit sector, which is not very common in the employability world in Sweden.

“We are located all over Sweden and work in both formal and non-formal education and assignments. My position on several boards provides me with the opportunity to make a difference,” she said.

“Since I left my job in elementary education, I have worked on assignments for the Public Employment Service and management in adult education. These two roles complement each other well, and I take great interest in deeply understanding these fields, both at a systemic and an individual level.

“As a provider, I have acquired expertise in contracts and procurement. My monitoring of the world around me focuses on skills provisioning, the labour market, and digitalisation. I enjoy keeping myself updated on everything from research and development to politics and trends.”
