IEP Group CEO Scott Parkin FIEP (AKA Mr Employability) travelled to Sweden last month for the third Labour Market Day, hosted by IEP Corporate Affiliate Partners, Werket AB, to support and represent professionals in the Swedish employability sector.

Sweden’s Labour Market Day is an annual industry event that brings together professionals in the labour market field to share knowledge, network, discuss the most important issues right now and take part in research and findings in career support.

Annette Jönnervik Holmblad MIEP, IEP Partnerships Manager Sweden, said “Labour Market Day is for everyone involved in supporting jobseekers, whether you are new to the field or an experienced expert, working in the public, private or non-profit sectors.”

“Every labour Market Day, Werket highlights significant and inspiring efforts in the industry during the past year, both large and small,” she said.

“Prizes have been awarded for innovative working methods, diligent work with one or more jobseekers, particularly good results and much more.”

For Annette, one of the highlights was the IEP team having the chance to meet our members, celebrate their successes, share their stories, show our support, and also meet new potential partners.

“Labour Market Day is a unique meeting place and knowledge arena for everyone who works to support jobseekers.”

Further, Annette said attendees got to hear from both Swedish and international experts, gain insight into the latest trends and challenges, learn from the best practices and strategies, and explore new tools to effectively help jobseekers.

“The day also offered interesting discussions and debates on the most current issues in the labour market area. All this mix in one place!”
