IEP Fellowship
Fellows of the IEP are a community of passionate and influential professionals from within the Employability sector. They work to share best practice through the sector, and also to support the vision and mission of the IEP.
Fellows of the IEP are usually expected to have been in the employability or a related sector for at least 7 years, to have participated in or supported external activities across the sector, to be prepared to play a role in advancing the sector and to be committed to Continued Professional Development.
We want our Fellows to be active members of the IEP community and support others where they can, to drive the continued professionalisation of the sector and be an ambassador for the IEP.
For only £200 (per annum), Fellows benefit from special services including invitations to participate in the IEP Summit and our regular Fellows Networking Dinners, which take place throughout the year.
Becoming a Fellow
Candidates for IEP Fellowship undergo a professional development interview. This is vital to the professional standing of IEP and means that its Fellows readily command respect both within and beyond the sector.
Candidates are welcomed from across the full spectrum of employability so whether you’re a frontline adviser or a senior director, if you can meet the criteria your application will be welcome.
Applicants are requested to supply a CV or their linkedin profile and confirm their experience and contribution to the employability sector. Fellowship applications are approved at the discretion of IEP’s Fellowship Committee.
I am so proud to be a Fellow of the IEP. My career started on the front line within employability, so it will always mean a lot to me. Supporting an industry that changes people’s lives and supports social mobility is a real privilege, and something I do not take for granted.

The application process made me sweat but that’s a good thing because it should. It really was thorough and felt prestigious. It made me reflect on my career in employability and the value I can bring the sector. Fellowship for me means personal validation and access to a collegial, purpose-driven network of committed professional leaders.

For me the Fellowship interview was a welcome opportunity to spend time with colleagues reflecting on the skills and employability landscape as it is and to challenge myself as to how individually and collectively we can make a positive difference. I am not sure we always recognise the potential cumulative impact of our IEP fellows.
