Program Overview

Neurodiversity is a concept which celebrates and respects the neurological differences of people with such conditions as autism, dyspraxia and dyslexia rather than treating the differences as an illness or disease which needs to be cured. Neurodiversity promotes the belief that people with neurological differences should be supported to live their lives as themselves and not have to change to meet a different set of ideals as laid out by wider society.

This training program, developed in association with neurodiversity specialists, Genius Within CIC, introduces the concept of neurodiversity to practitioners and other participant-facing staff to improve their understanding of neurodiversity and how they can help neurodiverse program participants on their journey towards employment.

There is a brief learning knowledge check at the end of the program which learners will be required to pass. On completion of the program learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the IEP as evidence of the knowledge and skills gained and a digital badge.
